Get Ahead Math: Grade 6 is an interactive software program that allows students to practice and master basic math skills in the classroom, computer lab, or their home. The program includes seven key concepts that are standards-based and reinforce key math concepts that students need to master in order to move to the next grade level. The material is presented in sequential learning steps, a cycle that covers three different learning modalities: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Students work through the concepts using each modality as they watch video tutorials, work through step-by-step examples, practice on the worksheets, and take a quiz and final test.

Math @ Work: Weather: A Whirlwind of Numbers provides a behind-the-scenes video tour of the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio, and WDTN Channel 2 in Dayton, Ohio. It gives an overview of weather forecasting; demonstrates how math is used to describe the workings of the atmosphere; and identifies various tools, such as weather balloons and contour maps, used by meteorologists. The program examines how mathematical calculations are used to make predictions and track and evaluate severe weather; what's involved in weather forecasting; how math is used to help predict a tornado and assess its aftermath; how math is used to predict and study snowfalls; and how weather balloons collect measurements that "read" the atmosphere

Math @ Work: Theme Parks
Math @ Work: Theme Parks: Coaster, Queues, and Carts provides an overview of how professionals plan, design, and build theme parks. It features Randy Smith, Executive Director of Planning and Design for Jack Rouse Associates, a Cincinnati-based company that designs exhibits and theme parks; and civil engineer Walt Davis, who has designed roller coasters for 20 years. Smith and Davis give students a behind-the-scenes video tour of the theme park industry. The video shows how designers look at a big, empty field to determine the best places to put rides, shows, games, and other attractions; the ins and outs of queues, and how designers keep people happy while they wait in line; how vending carts are uniquely sized and shaped based on products to be sold; and why the largest hill of a roller coaster comes at the beginning of the ride.

Math @ Work: Fashion: Fabrics and Formulas provides an overview of the New York fashion industry as seen through the eyes of fashion and textile designer Jhane Barnes, who explores math concepts to get inspirations for new designs. The video shows how math processes are used in fashion and textile design and fabric weaving. The designer uses fractals and binary numbers in fabric design; mathematicians transfer ideas into math and computer programs that facilitate the design and weaving process; fabric design is interpreted in binary to ensure that it can be woven on a specific type of loom; math is used to create carpet tiles that can be rotated to produce an enormous number of designs in a room; and math is found to be an important business tool and an important tool for creativity.

Larson's Intermediate Math Grade 6
Larson's Intermediate Math Grade 6 can be used to reinforce, extend, and assess student learning and individualized to fit curriculum and student proficiency levels. MiddleMath On-line provides an interactive, standards-based resource targeted to the California mathematics frameworks, standards, STAR test, and the High School Exit Exam. The program includes an assessment feature that can be used to monitor student performance and progress. Students receive feedback after two mistakes on a given problem. The program provides students with a tool for reinforcing mathematics skills and concepts at their own level and pace. It can be used as an on-grade resource for middle school and algebra students, or as a remedial resource for high school students. Practice and Review units are included so students and teachers can measure progress.

SkillsTutor Intermediate Mathematics
SkillsTutor Intermediate Mathematics focuses on skill mastery of proportion and percent, introduction to algebra, geometry, and statistics and probability. The resource helps students to become consistent in use of the fundamentals and advanced rules and processes of mathematics. Students\' work through 52 self-paced tutorials aligned to the California Academic Content Standards in Intermediate Mathematics, and access 16 quizzes and tests in a format similar to that of a standardized test.

CAHSEE Math
TestU's CAHSEE Math preparation program provides interactive online instruction in Math tested on the exit-level examination. The program supplies lessons on test-taking strategies and offers practice tests in a variety of formats.
